Any of these tools should hold a useful sharp edge for several years of frequent use before needing to be resharpened. Production Potters may expect a year if not more, and regular Potters many years.

Only relatively few of the Solid or Loop Tools I have made through the years have had enough use to be re-sharpened. The Solid Tools may be understood to allow of many re-sharpenings. The Heavy Duty Loops, being the thickest in section, will allow of several sharpenings over their lifetime. The Standard Loop Tools will only allow one or two re-sharpenings before they are a little too thin in section, and should then be replaced. The Miniature Loop Tools may enjoy at most, one resharpening, as they are quite thin to begin with.

Resharpening is best done by me, for which the Tool should be carefully packageed and sent in. I shall not want to discover a Tool sent in for sharpening as arrives broken from the brutal Mail.
